This week, we talked to the Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall Creative Team about the collectible character Jon Snow, King in the North.

What is special about Jon Snow, King in the North in Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall?

Jon Snow is one of the most important characters in Game of Thrones and his ascension to King in the North is a pivotal moment in his hero’s journey. We felt a responsibility to honor the character by making him a formidable warrior on the battlefield.

What abilities can Jon Snow, King in the North use in combat?

As an inspiring leader and skilled two-handed swordsman, Jon can inflict a high level of damage while boosting his allies’ capacities. He can also perform a powerful “finisher” ability to deal increased damage to low-health enemies.

What sort of squad strategy can a player build around Jon Snow, King in the North?

Jon is an outstanding frontline leader. He can be easily matched with different types of units. Jon can easily protect ranged units standing in the back or be teamed up with other front-liners to deliver outstanding blows to the enemy squad. Naturally, teaming him with Northern warriors will create the strongest squad. He is after all, the King in the North.

Can we expect other hero versions of Jon Snow?

Absolutely. Jon Snow plays many roles: serving and leading the Night’s Watch, infiltrating the Wildlings, and fighting the White Walkers. There are plenty of opportunities for special events to collect these versions of Jon, each with unique ability designs that impact the game’s meta.
